The assignment was to design a cover and editorial spread for graphic design magazine as an introduction to the principles of publication design; to develop typography hierarchy; to utilize a grid system; to organize information and to utilize InDesign as a layout tool. While utilizing the principles of design, it also gave the students an opportunity to learn some new special effects techniques and to take a look at design industry magazines like HOW, Communication Arts, and Print to name a few.
