Fall 2015 Homage

This a fun, let get started assignment. Student were to create, emulate
and pay homage to one of the great graphic designers.

Final Project - Create a Campaign

For this final project students were instructed to create a campaign using logos, graphics and images from their earlier menu or travel brochure assignments. Use of great imagery and good typography were imperative to good branding and a professional looking campaign.

Design Magazine Cover and Spread Project

Students had to research various graphic design magazines and do a Creative Suite tutorial to create a custom graphic of illustration for the following design project. The design project was to create and build a "how-to" cover and editorial spread using the magazine's frame (grid), and design format using Adobe Creative Suite; InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop.

Travel Brochure Project

Student project was to create an 8 or 12 page travel brochure; with a concentration in the use of great imagery and good clean type using Adobe Photoshop and InDesign; use of InDesign's masterpages and stylesheets was critical.

Menu Project

Students had to create a type oriented logo first (Illustrator), followed by the creation of a menu using InDesign for this project. Objective was to create a simple and clean typographic hierarchy and use of stylesheets. Here are a few logos and menu designs below.
